3D PRINTING IN COMPOSITES

Composites, the materials of the future.

Composite materials are used when we intend to combine several properties in the same material such as low density, good mechanical properties, or high thermal and chemical resistance.

Through 3D printing it is possible to obtain parts in composite materials with complex geometries for demanding thermal, chemical and physical applications.

Nylon12 with Carbon Fiber

The combination of Nylon 12 (Polyamide 12) with carbon fiber results in an extremely rigid material with an excellent weight-to-strength ratio.

In addition, it has a high thermal resistance and low water absorption, making it suitable for parts that require high mechanical strength with the lowest possible weight.

Application examples:

  • Pneumatic accessories
  • Sports equipment
  • End-use tools
  • Motorsport
